Finnplay inks social lottery agreement

News on 15 Dec 2014

Finnish online gambling platform provider Finnplay has delivered a platform solution for a newly launched social lottery operator called TribeLotto.

The company offers players the possibility to play the lottery with hundreds of lottery lines for the price of one line. It also shifts lottery to a social game environment played together in ‘tribes’.

Erkki Nikunen, vice president of sales for Finnplay said Monday that social gaming continues to be one of the fastest growing product categories in the online gambling market.

Tomas Toro, director for TribeLotto said that his company had a specific need for a supplier with a proven track record of multiple installations in various jurisdictions, and this had been achieved.

TribeLotto will use external lottery draw operators’ numbers in every draw.  The six correct numbers are the same numbers drawn in the UK National Lottery regular Saturday draw.

Punters pay Euro 3.50 for each ticket they buy, and a weekly jackpot of Euro 3 million is available, along with additional prizes that include 5 TribeWins of Euro 60.000 and 2 TribeWins of Euro 300.000. None of the prizes are split as in a traditional lottery.
