Florida representative introduces daily fantasy sports legalisation bill

If Florida state Representative Jason Brodeur has his way, daily fantasy sports will be defined by law as not considered gambling under Florida law.

The Republican representative says that his proposal is designed to clarify the position of fantasy sports and DFS, and make clear that fantasy contests are not subject to Florida gambling laws and regulation by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which oversees the pari-mutuel industry.
