Foreign betting firms continue to ignore Dutch warnings

News on 13 Jun 2014

Last week’s regulatory warnings to foreign online gambling operators accessing the Dutch market appears to be falling on deaf ears in many cases, reports the Dutch newspaper Volkskrant.

Operators were warned that stiff penalties exist, and threatened with exclusion from the Dutch licensing and regulation process due for implementation next year, but many sites continue to carry adverts for online betting firms such as Unibet and William Hill, the Volkskrant claims.

Dutch monitoring is continuing.
