Former William Hill exec joins Coingaming as MD

The Estonia-based Coingaming Group, which operates bitcoin betting brands and, has appointed former William Hill plc executive Richard Walsh as its new managing director.

Walsh spent more than 20 years at William Hill in a variety of senior management positions, and has relocated to the Coingaming Group’s headquarters in Tallinn, where he will oversee operations for the entire group, including a launch-imminent eSports-focused brand, reporting directly to CEO Tim Heath.

Walsh is the third major industry appointment for the group, hot on the heels of Christopher Uren’s appointment as Director of Sportsbook and Dominic Bourke as Director of Casino.

Tim Heath, CEO of the Coingaming Group, said in announcing Walsh’s appointment:

“We have grown as a company extremely quickly, so it is critically important that we put a world-class executive team in place to ensure this development can be sustained. Richard is an industry veteran who has worked for one of the most successful brands in gaming. His experience will be vital in taking Coingaming to the next level.”
