Genesis Global plugs Spelpaus holes

On the back of numerous reports regarding the failure of freshly-licensed operators in the Swedish market to block access to self-excluded customers through the Spelpaus programme, Genesis Global said it had deployed its technology teams to rectify the problem.

Genesis indicated the initial fault had been identified as a failure in “a 3rd party’s system” in integrating to Spelpaus.

The company moved to assure interested parties that it had implemented a “fix” across all its brands.

Furthermore, Genesis has contacted and refunded all the concerned players together with closing all the accounts which were monitored, as required by the regulations, the press statement reads.
