GTECH wins OPAP online betting tender

Greek gambling monopoly Organization of Football Prognostics S.A. (OPAP) has appointed GTECH S.p.A. as the company’s online sports betting provider following a closed tender procedure in which five international companies took part.

GTECH’s cooperation will initially be focused on online sports betting and marks a milestone in the history of OPAP as the company enters the iGaming services market for the first time.

Other companies vying for the contract included Playtech, Openbet and 888.
