Ladbrokes launches its single digital platform

Ladbrokes Sportsbook and Racebook’s new desktop platform has been released with the intention to provide the fastest and easiest customer experience across all key digital devices.

This latest digital move focuses on combining Ladbrokes’ sportsbook roadmap and development into a single work-stream with Mobenga as the front-end technology provider, deployed across web, mobile, tablet and other devices.

“The single Playtech-developed platform will significantly improve speed and efficiency of product delivery – fulfilling Ladbrokes’ ambition to consistently tailor improvements to the needs of today’s customers,” a company spokesman said in a statement. “Its adaptive approach provides more control over layouts and faster load times than alternative designs.”

The new platform has a clear focus on football ahead of the start of the new UK season with a suite of initiatives designed to attract loyal football customers.

Ladbrokes’ “My acca” function is a feature which tracks an acca in real time; the “5+ Acca Money Back” offer is set to return for the new season, and with “Cash Out” now fully established, a compelling football proposition for the start of the new season is at the heart of the digital improvement.

Ladbrokes began work on its new desktop platform in January 2015 before completing the integration of the web and mobile teams into one single work-stream in June.

Andrew Bagguley, Ladbrokes managing director, Digital said: “We’ve developed and now delivered this new desktop platform with a combined team approach and in less than a year we have a very strong, joined up sportsbook proposition which we believe is the quickest and easiest customer experience in the market, across all digital devices.

“Delivering this adaptive experience allows us to empower the customer to engage with our digital product however and wherever they want with no experiential compromises for any channel.

“Customers expect a consistent approach and we’re providing it with a single platform. We’ll be releasing new updates to all our digital sites in sync every few weeks. We want to carry on delivering real value to customers with a series of innovations and continual improvements throughout the Summer and into the latter part of the year.”
