Ladbrokes top media man to depart

News on 5 May 2017

The media relations director for Ladbrokes, David Williams has left the company after a sterling 13-year involvement in its marketing communications and PR activities; Williams has confirmed that he will “assist” the company until the end of June, presumably as a consultant.

Williams joined Ladbrokes through its graduate scheme in 2004 and proved himself very capable on his rise to management in the media division; he leaves following the Ladbrokes-Coral merger, which he describes as “…a perfect time to explore new opportunities”.

“Heading up the PR charge with Ladbrokes was a real privilege but it now feels like a perfect time to explore new opportunities,” Williams said.

“Working to ensure the Ladbrokes brand was celebrated and recognised throughout consumer media and corporate comms has been wonderful, and I’m proud of the role I played in helping to lead the business through some challenging and exciting times over the years.”
