Lottoland winner wins prize 1000x more than believed

A Scottish online Lottoland customer is set for a fabulous Christmas after mistaking a GBP 1 million jackpot win for GBP 1,000.

Identified as Mrs Fox, the punter told the Lottoland representative that her online scratch card win of GBP 1000 would help towards Christmas, which was followed by total disbelief when the rep explained she had actually won GBP 1 million.

“I am a regular Lottoland player, playing once or twice a week. I usually bet on the overseas lotto draws – especially the big US ones, but I decided to have a go at a Scratchcard for a change and that’s when I won,” Mrs Fox said.

“This is a life changing amount of money that is going to allow us to achieve our goal of buying a home overseas. I still can’t believe it.”
