Mexico’s televisa reportedly prepapring to sell online gambling interest

Mexican media reports have indicated that Mexican media giant Televisa is mulling the sale of is gambling group PlayCity, comprising a Kambi-powered online sportsbook and a significant number of land casinos and Mexican licenses.

Televisa launched PlayCity 13 years ago and has built the venture into a formidable competitor in the reportedly $450 million a year market, which has probably spurred Blackstone’s interest; Our readers may recall a recent report that Blackstone has secured the acquisition of Spain’s Cirsa gambling group.

The Mexican reports on the PlayCity offload indicate that a deal could be agreed within the next two months
