Michigan moves against internet cafe gambling

Michigan’s Attorney General, Bill Schuette, has signed cease and desist orders on three Internet cafes in state capital Lansing which investigators have found to be providing internet gambling thinly disguised as sweepstakes.

The Times Herald quotes Schuette, who said Monday that his staff has warned internet cafe operators they risk legal action unless they stop violating Michigan’s gambling laws within two weeks.
