Nevada bill on election betting makes it through the State Senate

Nevada bill SB 418, which legalises betting on federal elections made it through the state Senate Tuesday on a 14-7 vote and is now on its way to the House.

And in related news, bill AB 346, which seeks to permit syndicate, group or ‘entity’ wagering within the state on sports events was unanimously passed by the Senate, albeit with one abstention.

Surprisingly, given their fanatical opposition to New Jersey sports betting expansion, the national sports leagues appeared comfortable with the development, and have not raised objections.
