New gambling movie set for September release

The new Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck-produced gambling movie Mississippi Grind is gearing up for a September release, judging by the increased press activity around the production.

This week a trailer appeared on Youtube, supported by pressers promoting the film, which chronicles the casino-hopping adventures of Ben Mendelsohn’s Gerry, a poker player inching his way into addiction, and Ryan Reynolds’ Curtis, a wayward traveler who oozes charm and good fortune.

Together they traverse the Southern US gambling scene, preparing for a legendary high-stakes poker game in New Orleans.
