New Jersey operators in move to strengthen wi-fi signal for punters

New Jersey online gamblers who have been experiencing difficulty in accessing websites in the newly liberated intrastate market due to geo-location rejections will soon have a solution in their hands, thanks to independent initiatives being undertaken by a number of the bigger operators anxious to provide them with services.

Apparently the problem in most cases is a weak wi-fi signal which can complicate geo-location, and the answer to that is a small wi-fi boosting dongle that punters can use quickly and easily, plugging it into their devices.

The online gambling companies are now gearing up to provide these USB-compatible hardware devices free-of-charge to New Jersey gamblers experiencing the geo-location hassle.

The independent geolocation providers rely on data from wi-fi signals and other sources to determine the location of a player, who must be within New Jersey borders when gambling online. By boosting the strength of the wi-fi signal, the locating triangulation is more easily and accurately achieved.

PartyPokerNJ is the front runner in the dongle initiative and has already sent dongles compatible with either Windows XP or Windows 7 and 8 to a number of its players, and 888Poker has also embarked on a similar exercise. Reports from WSOP.com indicate that it will soon follow suit.
