New Jersey’s Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has released preliminary wagering results related to the 2019 Super Bowl, the first year that sports betting has been legal in the State.

Preliminary wagering statistics reported by Atlantic City Casinos and New Jersey Horse Tracks show that $34,894,900 was wagered on this year’s Super Bowl with a total sports book payout of $39,469,147. This resulted in a loss of $4,574,247, which represents a negative hold percentage of 13.11 percent.

These revenue figures include New Jersey’s 10 land based sports wagering lounges and eleven online mobile sports wagering brands, one of which was in soft play during the Super Bowl.
