Operational control over gambling shifts in Azerbaijan

Press reports from Azerbaijan indicate that through an amendment to article #53-1.5 of the national law, day-to-day operational control over gambling will henceforth will be carried out by the newly-established Financial Market Control Chamber, funded by the gambling companies.

The previous arrangement placed the responsibility for gambling industry oversight with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
