Rank Group appoints finance director

The Rank Group Plc (Rank) has appointed Clive Jennings (50) as group finance director and as a director of the Company, with immediate effect.
Jennings, a chartered accountant, previously held the position of group financial controller at the company prior to which he was the financial controller of Rank’s gaming division.
His appointment follows a tumultuous period for the company during a takeover by majority shareholder Guoco that saw Rank’s finance director, Paddy Gallagher, and chief executive officer Ian Burke resign in June this year.  Burke retracted his resignation a week later.
Ian Burke, chairman and chief executive of Rank said:  “I am delighted that Clive is joining the board of the Company.  With his knowledge of the business, I am confident that he will contribute significantly to the development of Rank in the future.”
