Respected academic appointed to French regulator’s board

The French Senate has confirmed the appointment of Cecile Chaussard as public policy advisor on the board of ARJEL (L’Autorité de régulation des jeux en ligne), the French online gambling regulator.

Chaussard is a law and political science lecturer at the University of Bourgogne. She has consulted for international businesses and organisations on French law and labour policies, specialising in dispute resolution and sports legal issues.

She will advise the board on compliance and regulatory policy, according to a statement issued Thursday.
