Aces and Eights is a new proprietary video poker game which was released by Slotland this week.

The game is a single-handed poker game played with 52 cards where players can bet a minimum ten cents a hand or a max of $25. A Royal Flush is the highest paying hand offering 800X on a max bet.

After any win greater then the bet, players get a chance to double their win. They’re dealt five cards. The first one is visible and the rest are hidden. After the player selects a card, all of the cards are then revealed. If they’ve picked the highest card, their win is doubled. They’re then given a chance to double it again up to five times.

“Aces and Eights is also known as the Dead Man’s Hand,” said Michael Hilary, manager of Slotland. “Wild Bill Hickock was a famous lawman, gunfighter, and legendary gambler who was shot dead while playing poker. They say Hickock died holding a pair of 8s and a pair of Aces.”
