Social online gambling over a billion in revenues this year

Interesting results from Superdata, the digital goods measurement agency, who report that the social online casino sector is expected to generate $1.6 Billion in revenues this year, rising to $2.4 Billion over the next three years.

Along with mobile, the popularity of the social gaming sector is attested by the market doubling in just under one year and the social casino category accounting for almost a quarter of all social gaming revenue.

According to the firm, the largest social gaming markets in monetary terms per annum are ranked as follows:

  • North America – $659.8 million
  • Europe – $446 million
  • Asia  – $311 million
  • Latin American – $180 million
