Summer departure for UK National Lottery chief

News on 27 Apr 2017

Andy Duncan, for the past six years the chief executive at UK National Lottery operator Camelot, has announced his intention to step down this summer.

His UK responsibilities will be taken over by Camelot Global CEO Nigel Railton until a permanent replacement can be found. In the meantime, Duncan will continue to represent Camelot on the committees of the European Lotteries Association, World Lottery Association and the EuroMillions Lottery Operators Board.

Over the period of his stewardship the Lottery has donated GBP 10 billion to worthy causes – a 25 percent increase over the preceding six years.

Paying tribute to Duncan, Camelot chairman Jo Taylor wished him well in the years ahead and said that he had achieved a tremendous amount for the Lottery and the causes it supports.
