Thai royal police to closely monitor online gambling

Thai Royal Police have launched the World Cup 2014 Gambling Prevention and Suppression Centre (GPSC) in anticipation of the tournament’s kick-off later this week.

The Centre will closely monitor online gambling, Deputy National Police Chief, Pol. Gen. Aek Angsananont said, while implementing strict measures covered by the Anti-Money Laundering Act against those indulging in gambling on the tournament.

The GPSC will operate from June 12 to July 13, 2014.
