Troubled TV presenter will continue to appear in online gambling advertisements

Troubled UK television celebrity Ant McPartlin (42), who faces allegations of driving under the influence which have seen other sponsors cancel their agreements with him, will not be abandoned by the Kindred online gambling group, the company has confirmed as McPartlin undergoes rehabilitation treatment.

McPartlin will continue to appear in adverts with co-presenter Declan Donnelly for gambling firm 32Red following the former’s drink-driving charge. Ant and Dec recently lost their multi-million advertising campaign with Suzuki following McPartlin’s actions, with the brand pulling out of sponsoring the last two episodes of Saturday Night Takeaway’s current series.

Gambling firm 32Red however has stood by Ant, with ITV having signed a three year deal with the casino company in September 2016.

The company has advised that 32Red has a commercial agreement with ITV and licenses gameshows Saturday Night Takeaway and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here.

‘Our commercial relationship is with ITV and we have created slot games based on the TV shows, rather than a sponsorship deal,” a spokesman said.

‘At this time we do not have any intention to change the commercial relationship with ITV.’
