Bettorlogic appoints Betfair tech whizz

News on 23 Oct 2009

Bettorlogic, the form analysts backed by industry veterans Andrew Black and Nigel Payne, has announced the appointment of Steve High – architect of some of Betfair’s most innovative and revolutionary features – as Chief Technology Officer.
High was among Betfair’s first 70 employees and played a significant role in the success of the world’s leading betting exchange. In addition to a major contribution to the core Betfair platform itself, High led the development projects for Betfair’s Multiples, SP and API products.
High will lead Bettorlogic’s fast-growing development team – and will initially focus on planned additions to Bettorlogic’s current Form Lab bet stimulation and Trader Lab ranges. He’ll also begin the development of a very significant new innovation – scheduled to launch in spring 2010.
Commentin g on his appointment, High said, “I’ve had a tremendous time at Betfair over the past seven years and it fills me with immense pride to see how successful some of the products I’ve developed have become.
“I’m still absolutely passionate about new betting technologies, so applying what I’ve learnt now within Bettorlogic is a fantastic new opportunity.  Their product range is already top class and together we can do some great things.”
Mike Falconer, CEO Bettorlogic, commented: “The word ‘genius’ is bandied around a bit too much these days, but in Steve’s case it really isn’t an over-claim. He’s designed and developed some of the most groundbreaking betting products ever seen and his enthusiasm to build more is inspiring. This is a major coup for Bettorlogic.”
Bettorlogic, backed by Andrew Black (co-founder of Betfair) and Nigel Payne (ex-CEO Sportingbet) develops unique state-of-the-art betting tools allowing users to analyse form very quickly and easily – both pre-event and in-play.
