Indonesian police tighten up on internet gambling

Police in the Indonesian capital of Jakarta claim that they have broken up two online gambling networks based in the city and conducting internet gambling and betting that generated a combined daily turnover of around Rp 500 million.
Public communication chief, Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar said in a press conference Tuesday that two men were arrested in a local housing complex and equipment, currency and other evidence was seized following a surveillance operation over the past month.
The police spokesman revealed that two more people were arrested and further evidence, including Rp 495 million in cash was impounded in a separate operation.
