Doyle´s to leave Microgaming?

News on 15 Jan 2009

Reports that have yet to be confirmed by either party involved have speculated this week that the online casino and poker operations of Doylesroom.com are about to ditch software provider Microgaming in favour of the Cake Poker Network.
There is speculation that the decision last year by Microgaming to halt new sign-ups by United States resident players has not been well received by the Doyle operations, which have probably been adversely impacted in a business sense by the software provider’s move.
If true, this is the second US-ban influenced move by Doylesroom. Prior to moving to Microgaming the poker room was a member of the Tribeca Tables network.  When this was taken over by Playtech, that company’s “no US players” policy prompted Doyles to move to the Microgaming Poker Network (then Prima Poker) which at that time welcomed US players.
Cake Poker network has been enjoying burgeoning growth in player liquidity and could provide a solid alternative for Doyles.
