Dutch regulator repeats warning to illegal operators

News on 24 Jun 2014

Kansspelautoriteit, the Dutch Gaming Authority responsible for regulating the online gambling industry in the Netherlands once it is legalised next year, has again warned off illegal operators – its second threat to not only impose penalties, but exclude miscreants from future licensing opportunities (see previous reports).

Chairman Jan Suyver says that the Authority will have a range of powers from government that will enable it to carry out its work and protect both online gamblers and legitimate operators from the activities of unlicensed online casino operators accessing the market…and he said that Kansspelautoriteit will not hesitate to use those powers.
