Expanded sports betting offering in Nigeria

Nigerian sports betting company KC Gaming Networks Limited will formally launch an expansion of its Bet9ja-sports betting brand in Lagos on September 5, 2013.

The company claims to be the premier sports betting company in Nigeria, “bringing together people of vast experience in odds betting spanning decades”.

Ayo Ojuroye, chief executive officer of the company, said the services of an as-yet unnamed foreign technical partner have been secured, “one of repute with over 100 years experience to provide first class service”, he said.

Bet9ja already has a retail estate of around seven outlets but come launch said it will offer its expanded services via third party agents, the online portal bet9ja.com and through mobile applications.

The company, according to Punchng.com, is the only firm providing odds betting on the Nigerian league and is said to be registered with the Nigerian National Lottery Board and the Lagos Lottery Commission.

Garnering as much promotional opportunities before its formal launch, Bet9ja became the official shirt sponsor and betting partner of the Nigerian National League side – Remo Stars of Shagamu, earlier this month.

Chairman of the national league side, Kunle Soname, said: “We are the first Nigerian club to be kitted by an international brand, which makes our club an international brand. We are excited that Bet 9ja decided to go into this partnership, which will be beneficial to both parties. We believe that this partnership will endure for many years to come.”
