Fortuna Entertainment, the Central and Eastern Europe-facing gambling group in the news earlier today with its platform deal with Playtech (see previous report) has posted its H1-2016 numbers, claiming improvements across core metrics.
Highlights of the report include:
* Total Gross Win of Euro 80.5 million, on turnover up 24 percent year-on-year at Euro 511 million;
* Increased player activity;
* Positive EBITDA up 7.7 percent y-o-y to Euro 9.7 million;
* Anticipated net profit up 12.1 percent at Euro 5.4 million;
Per Widerström, CEO, said that the improved performance was driven by online sports betting, especially on mobile devices across the countries where the company operates, with good returns achieved from the Euro 2016 football championships in France.
