French an Italian cooperation defined

News on 29 Oct 2012

A meeting held in Rome between representatives of online gambling authorities of the Italian Autonomous Administration of State Monopolies (AAMS) and France’s ARJEL formalised the cooperation agreement signed between the two bodies earlier this year.

Defining terms under which market data would be transmitted and shared as well as discussions on effective player protection procedures took place with additional focus on the prevention of problem gambling, the fight against fraud and the prohibition of gambling by minors.

The project aims to promote administrative cooperation between regulators by pooling resources to tackle challenges in the online gambling sector.
