Gamevy wins start up with most potential

Online game developer Gamevy has won the inaugural Pitch ICE competition as the start-up with the most potential, earning 32 percent of the 741 public votes cast.

An employee-owned company, Gamevy pitched its “BornLucky Gameshows” mobile and tablet app which allow players to be star of their very own gameshow.

“The number and strength of Pitch ICE entries shows just what an achievement it is to win the competition,” said Gamevy chairman Paul Dolman-Darrall. “We received fantastic exposure just from taking part – being announced winner will take this to another level and it endorses the faith we have in the product.”

As winner of the competition Gamevy gains entry to the GamCrowd Incubator service designed to assist start-ups secure investment, fill skills and expertise gaps, while providing introductions to operators in the industry for testing and distribution.

Bet Trade, an online casino where players compete against each other rather than the house, came in second, and Web Tech Games third.
