Scientific Games Corporation announced the appointment of Dr. Jerry Bowskill in the newly created role of Chief Architect for the Interactive Services division of the company.

Bowskill will work in collaboration across all of the Company’s business units to define product strategy and business requirements for Scientific Games’ portfolio of interactive products and services.

Prior to joining Scientific Games, Bowskill worked in several technology leadership roles at Playtech, following Playtech’s acquisition of Gaming Technology Solutions (GTS), an online gaming content aggregator, where he was the Founder and Chief Technology Officer.

Bowskill began his career as a Senior Research Scientist in the Advanced Research Center at British Telecom and over the last decade, made the transition from research to founding and launching internet content and gaming ventures.

In related news, International Game Technology appointed Leigh Nissim as its new commercial director for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

Nissim formerly served as managing director of St. Minver and was appointed to the role of commercial director at GTECH G2 following the acquisition of the company in April 2008. Prior, he served as managing director of Swiftstake Technologies.
