Jimi Hendrix joins NetEnt’s rock trilogy

Following the launch of its much-anticipated Guns ’n Roses video slot, NetEnt will release a new Jimi Hendrix-branded video slot based on the legendary guitarist, singer and songwriter as part of its NetEnt Rocks series.

NetEnt said it is determined to develop a fitting and authentic homage to Hendrix, featuring five of the guitar king’s most famous songs like “Foxy Lady,” “Purple Haze,” “Crosstown Traffic” and “Little Wing” along with rich, colorful 3D graphics inspired by the historic era.

Jimi Hendrix’s true-to-life character has been developed with 10 different morph targets, creating hundreds of unique facial expressions, which have been modified by hand for added realism, the company said. The animated video slot is developed entirely in 3D with impressive visuals and is due for release in April 2016.

NetEnt hinted at a mystery third title in the NetEnt Rocks series which is expected to launch in September 2016, saying “its game schedule is set to be a tour like no other!”
