Konami to collaborate on new pro football eSports competition

A new professional eSports competition is in the making from eSports company eFootball.Pro and Konami Digital Entertainment.

The new eSports competition, which will be created using Konami’s football game series, will be broadcast on a global level.

“The goal is to drive all that makes traditional football the king of sports, towards electronic football, towards eSports,” Gerard Piqué, eFootball.Pro President and FC Barcelona player, said. “We want to bind the best of both worlds to bring the public a new entertainment model that they love from the first day.”
