LVS to provide betting platform in Ivory Coast

News on 18 Jan 2012

French National lottery operator La Française Des Jeux’s (FDJ) sports book software subsidiary LVS has entered into a deal with Loterie National de Cote d’Ivoir (LONACI), the Ivory Coast’s exclusive gambling operator, for the provision of its Advanced Betting Platform (ABP).

Operating under the brand Sportcash, the sportsbook launch will coincide with the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations football tournament.

Phase one of the project will launch in 80 retail shops with a support target of 2 000 terminals within the next year.

Along with partners Morpho and Lotsys, LVS will be able to offer a complete multi-channel solution across internet, mobile and retail through one single engine in future phases that will include the integration of existing lottery games and pari-mutuel horse racing.  LONACI will initially launch with football betting but intends increasing its sports offering in the near future.

Simon Ordish, chief executive officer of LVS, said: “When an organization such as LONACI trusts LVS over many of the other major sportsbook suppliers in the market it is a huge compliment to our product and team. We are looking forward to a long and fruitful relationship with LONACI.”
