Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network paid out an impressive Euro 154,954,249 during 2018.

In total, nine lucky players took home seven-figure sums from Microgaming’s progressive jackpot games, equating to more than Euro 40 million in winnings.

The largest jackpot win was through Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive, with a massive Euro 18,915,872.81 paid out on Friday 28 September at Grand Mondial Casino. Won by a player on a mobile device, this set a new payout record for the popular progressive online slot, eclipsing the Euro 17,879,645.12 that earned Microgaming the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’ in 2015.  The record-breaking win was one of many big payouts in 2018.

The year got off to a winning start on 14 January when a Euro 2,424,117.20 prize was triggered at Zodiac Casino.

February fired up the second mega win of the year when an enormous Euro 4,769,344.11 was awarded to a Royal Vegas Casino player on 27 February.

Nine days later, the progressive network created another multi-millionaire when a fantastic Euro 4,365,843.63 prize was won on Captain Cook’s Casino on 8 March, marking another major mobile win on the network.

Following this, a lucky player on Grand Mondial Casino won a Euro 4,603,056.85 prize on Thursday 19 April. On 24 June, Euro 4,931,205.46 was won on Jackpot City.

Microgaming’s Major Millions 5 Reel slot also joined the celebrations after it paid out Euro 1,896,616.91 on 2 February to a Betsafe player and GBP 1,515,371.53 on 22 August to a RedKings player.

Three weeks into 2019, Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network is showing no signs of slowing down, with a lucky 32Red player having scooped up a fantastic Euro 1,162,021.24 jackpot playing Major Millions on 2 January.

The network has paid out Euro 980 million to date, making it the largest in the industry, and with the Mega Moolah jackpot currently topping Euro 17 million, total payouts are fast approaching the Euro 1 billion mark – a unique milestone which highlights the enduring popularity and success of Microgaming’s progressive games.

John Coleman, CEO at Microgaming:

“Congratulations to all the lucky winners in 2018.  We are proud to host the industry’s largest progressive jackpot network, which paid out more than €150 million last year, setting a number of payout records in the process.

“It is remarkable to see total payouts nearing €1 billion, which really highlights the strength of the network, and we are excited to be working on a series of developments aimed at taking our progressive jackpot offering to the next level.”
