News on 11 Jul 2019

Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network awarded more than a million wins in the first six months of 2019, paying out an astounding €89,879,343* across 1,150,559 jackpots.

Eight victorious winners took home either seven or eight-figure jackpots during the period, equating to more than €43 million in winnings, and a further 380 players pocketed €10,000 or more.

On 30 January 2019, a Zodiac Casino player scooped the largest jackpot win of the year so far, and the third-highest payout in Microgaming’s history, when a whopping €13,328,028.16 was won through the world-renowned Mega Moolah, a five-reel, 25 payline wild Africa themed progressive online slot.

While generating other notable payouts, the network created two multi-millionaires in as many days when an enormous €11,546,388.15 prize was won on 5 March and a €2,201,120.31 jackpot was claimed the following day. More recently, transformative wins of €5,430,849.65 (3 May), €5,673,937.78 (23 May) and €3,034,204.84 (17 June) were paid out in lump sums, as with all wins on the network.

The largest jackpot win on Microgaming’s progressive network remains the record-breaking €18,915,872.81 paid out last year on 28 September 2018 at Grand Mondial Casino through Mega Moolah, eclipsing the €17,879,645.12 mobile win that earned Microgaming the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS® title for the ‘Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game’ in 2015. To date, 74 millionaires** have been made on the network.

* Each win on the network is paid in the currency in which the winner played the game, and then converted to EUR on the day of win or at the time of the payout for the purpose of aggregating total payouts awarded.
** Total number of EUR (in-play or converted currency) millionaires made on Microgaming’s progressive jackpot network as at Sunday 30 June 2019.
