The Swedish online gambling software developer and turnkey provider Net Entertainment has announced the appointment of Per Eriksson as chief executive officer of the group, taking up his responsibilities on March 1 2011.

Eriksson is presently serving as CEO and President of Dustin Group AB. Prior to that, he had a long career with Dell, where he left as head of Dell EMC. (Europe, Middle East and Africa).

“The Board is very pleased to have recruited Per Eriksson as CEO. Per’s well documented leadership skills and genuine IT and computer skills make a good foundation to Net Entertainment’s needs.” said NetEnt’s chairman, Vigo Carlund.

“I look forward to the assignment, [and the opportunity to] work in an industry that faces exciting challenges and strong growth. Net Entertainment is a quality company with good prospects,” Eriksson commented.

Carlund said that the board of directors had expressed their appreciation to Björn Krantz, who has performed his duties as acting CEO with distinction. Krantz will remain as acting CEO until Per Eriksson’s arrival in March.

Krantz will presumably return to his former post as Sales Director and CEO of Net Entertainment Malta Ltd., from whence he was appointed acting CEO in October this year when former NetEnt chief Johan Ohman unexpectedly resigned for family reasons.
