New cross-licensing deal signed by IGT

The latest cross-licensing deal to be signed by land and online gambling supplier IGT is with fellow supplier Ainsworth Game Technology.

The two companies have signed a patent cross-licensing agreement to share technology and information in a further move to increase industry innovation.

Ainsworth Game Technology CEO Danny Gladstone said Wednesday that the agreement with IGT will enable his company to access an industry-wide game feature patent portfolio that can be leveraged to enhance Ainsworth market offerings with games that excite and engage players.

IGT general counsel Michael Prescott noted: “We have reached industry-wide momentum with the cross-licensing of IGT patented game features. We’re very pleased to add Ainsworth Game Technology to the impressive list of suppliers who have worked with us to establish an IP pool that can help drive the gaming industry’s collective innovation.”
