Online football gambling bust in Vietnam

Vietnamese authorities have smashed an online football gambling ring in Thanh Hóa Province, arresting ten suspects and seizing two vehicles, 2 laptops, sixteen mobile phones, VNĐ461 million (US$20,400) and other gambling related documentation.

According to a Police statement, the illegal gambling operation had taken VNĐ1.4 trillion ($62.2 million) in wagers since the beginning of this year.

Four men, all between the ages of 30 and 40 years old, were initially arrested followed by a further six based on information they gave to police during the interview process.
