More online gambling firms join Australian exodus

News on 29 Aug 2017

Affiliate sector reports this week are that more online gambling groups are heading for the exit in Australia following the federal government’s Interactive Gambling Amendment Act, which effectively bans online poker and casino operations.

The Mansion Group and Genesis Global Limited are the latest companies to announce their withdrawal, communicating in advance with affiliate marketers to warn them of their intentions to halt all signups and terminate operations effective end-August.

Meanwhile the popular online casino Videoslots has advised that it has ceased accepting new Australian player sign-ups, perhaps a sign that it too intends to depart.

The latest departures join an exodus that has already included PokerStars, 32Red, PartyPoker, 888Poker and Vera&John (see previous  reports).
