Online gambling operator introduces express player service

News on 20 Apr 2018

Online gambling operator Mr Green has introduced a new express service for the convenience of its Swedish players, minimising delays in registration, login and withdrawals by leveraging the nation’s efficient BankID system (see footnote).

The operator claims that the express system is compliant with the new regulations about to be introduced in Sweden, and that any Swedish punter signing in through BankID who deposits via bank transfer will benefit from fast withdrawals, with the operator crediting the player’s account in under five minutes.

The BankID-backed Express system is available across all Mr Green platforms and apps.

Jesper Kärrbrink, CEO of Mr Green, said that the Express service will allow players to focus on enjoying the gaming opportunities on offer at Mr Green.

“This will also make the validation process of new players much easier for us, reducing the time spent approving new accounts internally and leaving more room for us to build more smart tools in the future. We are now looking at ways to roll out these features in more of our markets where BankID and similar solutions are available.”

BankID is the leading electronic identification in Sweden. BankID has been developed by a number of large banks for use by members of the public, authorities and companies.

The first BankID was issued in 2003, and the network includes Danske Bank, ICA Banken, Ikano Bank, Länsförsäkringar Bank, Nordea, SEB, Skandiabanken, Sparbanken Syd, Svenska Handelsbanken, Swedbank and Ålandsbanken.

7,5 million people use BankID on a regular basis for a wide variety of private and public services. Many services are provided where citizens can use their BankID for digital identification as well as signing transactions and documents. The services vary from online and mobile banking, e-trade to tax declaration and are provided by government, municipality, banks and companies.

BankID is used both for identification as well as signing. According to Swedish law, and within the European Union, BankID is an advanced signature and a signature made with a BankID is legally binding.

The customer’s identification is guaranteed by the bank issuing the BankID. Authorities, companies and other organizations must check the validity of the customer’s identity and signature. BankID is available on smart card, computers, mobile phones and table
