The addition of cash tables for players on the iPoker.it network and casino action under the new Italian regulations should prove a welcome boost for Playtech licensees, the internet gambling software developer reports.
Playtech was the first software provider to complete the ‘Collaudo’ testing process for casino, in compliance with Italy’s regulatory body AAMS requirements.
This week a number of key Playtech licensees, including Sisal, SNAI, Buongiorno, WHO and TNT launched their Playtech-powered casino offering for Italian players.
Featuring all of Playtech’s gaming content, along with a suite of operational tools created in compliance with Italian regulations, the casino equips operators with a competitive and attractive offering for this new market, a spokesman said this week.
Playtech has enjoyed a substantial presence in the Italian market since 2008, with its iPoker.it poker network offering fully-compliant tournament poker to the region’s leading operators.
With the new regulation of cash tables, licensees including SNAI, SISAL, Eurobet, Cogetech and BetClic can now offer their players cash table play, supported by iPoker.it’s Un Million Per Tutti promotion, offering players the chance to win Euro 1 million.
Mor Weizer, Playtech’s chief executive, commented: “The Italian market continues to be a major constituent of the European regulated environment, and we are happy to further strengthen our position there with the addition of cash table poker and casino. Our innovative and fully-compliant gaming product enables licensees to benefit from the extensive opportunities that the regulated Italian market has to offer.”
