Playtech snaps up Holland Casino software and content contract

With the legalisation of online gambling in the Netherlands drawing ever closer, software provider Playtech plc has scored a notable coup in clinching the online gambling contract for the Dutch gambling monopoly Holland Casino after a competitive tendering process.
The agreement involves the development of an online gambling platform offering a full range of casino games, which will be offered to Dutch players once the enabling online gambling legislation is implemented and licenses are issued in H1 2015.
Willem-Jan van den Dijssel, the acting CEO for the Holland Casino group, said Monday:
“We will soon offer our players a unique gaming environment and experience. Coupled with the expertise of Playtech, we look forward with confidence to the forthcoming regulation of the market.”
