Swedish lotto experts advising Irish Government

Stockholm-based lottery industry consultants QLot Consulting are assisting the Irish Government on its anticipated National Lottery license tendering process.

According to a company statement, QLot have been appointed as co-advisors in cooperation with Davy Corporate Finance, the financial and commercial advisers to the Minister for Expenditure and Public Reform in Ireland, Brendan Howlin.

”We are proud to be selected by the Irish Government for this high profile project in one of Europe’s prime lottery markets”, said Chris Moumouris, vice president of business development at QLot Consulting. ”Together with Davy, we are in an ideal position to provide the Irish Government with the necessary support in all areas that such an advanced project as a 20 year license entails. We look forward to help Ireland achieve a successful, entertaining and profitable lottery for the next two decades, maximizing value for all stakeholders.”

The tendering process for the 20-year license to operate the Irish National Lottery will take place during the early part of 2013, with Howlin reportedly intent on overhauling outdated, pre-internet era regulations that currently govern the operation of the lottery.

The current licence held by An Post expires in June 2013.
