Redbet signs two year licensing agreement with Ongame

In its first deal under the new ownership of Amaya Gaming, Ongame Network has signed a two-year licensing deal with operator Redbet Gaming Limited.

Montreal-based Amaya Gaming Group purchased Ongame Network from Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment for approximately $19.73 million in October, adding it to a growing range of online gambling subsidiaries that includes Cryptologic, Chartwell Technology and Cadillac Jack Incorporated.

Earlier this month Amaya revealed that technology from Ongame Network will take over from the Entraction Poker Network recently disposed of by American firm International Game Technology (IGT) in powering Redbet Gaming’s entire online poker operation, which includes brands Redbet.com, Whitebet.com and Heypoker.com.

“When leaving the IGT poker network we did a thorough investigation of all business-to-business poker providers,” said Adam Vella, head of poker for Redbet Gaming.

“Selecting Ongame Network was an easy choice. Ongame Network combines excellent network management with a rock solid technical platform.”

“We’re pleased to add Redbet Gaming to our growing family of clients and look forward to exceeding its expectations in us as a technology partner,” said Darcy Krogh, business development Vice-President for Amaya Gaming Group, adding that the Montreal-based company’s plans for Ongame will leverage its scalable software architecture and infrastructure to add new partners.
