Operating under an Alderney online gambling licence the UK’s Sky Betting and Gaming has launched its first social casino app, titled Sky Hollywood Slots, which has been developed in partnership software provider OpenWager.

The app is available in both Android and iOS formats and debuts several original slot games such as Amazonia, Kitty Mansion, Hollywood Treasures and Neon Valley.

The app takes players on a journey through a virtual Los Angeles depicted in 3D graphics, taking part in diverse games and challenges in a bid to become a movie star and win rewards.

Social gaming chief at Sky, Bruce Bale said the new app was available worldwide, and that he looked forward to the further development of the company’s social casino initiative in an exciting if competitive marketplace.

John Cahill, the CEO at Openwager commented on the Sky Hollywood Slots project, saying:

“Together we are committed to raising the bar on social casino entertainment and staying ahead of the game. Sky Hollywood Slots presents an entirely different type of experience for Sky’s existing customers and the new generation of players alike.”

OpenWager’s client list includes USA Today (a bingo app) and the Spintopia app for win2day.
