Are things looping up for New Jersey online gambling?

News on 20 Jun 2014

Commercial Intelligence, the independent research firm that recently studied New Jersey online gamblers (see previous report) has conducted a follow-on survey taking its knowledge of the industry to June 18 and canvassing the views of 520 New Jersey online gamblers.

The results are encouraging, indicating a 33 percent drop in the proportion of New Jersey online players who only use non-approved gambling sites.

Sixteen percent of respondents admitted to still using unlicensed sites –  a noteworthy decrease from the 24 percent that played only illegal sites when the initial study was conducted in January this year.

CI thinks the positive change has come about due to the growing popularity of licensed sites in the Garden State.
