Thunderkick wields the Sword of Shoguns in exciting slot sequel

Independent slots studio Thunderkick is calling on players to wield a mighty ancient weapon in Sword of Shoguns, its highly-anticipated slot sequel.

The follow-up to the renowned game Sword of Khans, this 6-reel slot builds upon the world of its predecessor with a beautiful design, an engaging soundtrack and thrilling mechanics, joining recent release Jiggly Cash as the latest addition to Thunderkick’s expansive portfolio.

Sword of Shoguns transports players to a Japanese temple, where they’re challenged to take up the weapon and prove their worth. Exciting new features, including random reel heights, 5,040 pay ways and expanding symbols, add even more chances to win big.

A high-paying Shogun symbol can land on the reels during gameplay, alongside other icons such as helmets, armour and fans. These must form a matching combination across the reels to unlock a win.

The Sword symbol also returns, acting as both a Scatter and a Wild. Landing three of these Swords will trigger the Bonus Game, awarding at least five free spins in which a random Expanding symbol is chosen throughout the round’s duration.

Up to four of these Expanding symbols can be won during the Bonus, with chances for players to retrigger the round and enjoy up to seven extra Free Spins for boosted win potential.

Building upon the critical and commercial acclaim of the original whilst augmenting some of the title’s core features, Sword of Shoguns boasts mechanical ingenuity and player-focused gameplay, and is the latest in a string of recent hits for the provider.

Commenting on the release, Mike Collins, Product Owner at Thunderkick, said: “We’re thrilled to be following up one of our most popular slots with Sword of Shoguns, an incredible title with big winning potential.

With random reel heights, expanding symbols, a mighty Free Spins round and a top prize of 25,200x a player’s bet, we’re keen for people to wield the sword and have a blast!”
