Two Way Limited to launch TV wagering service

News on 31 Mar 2011

Australian interactive media and gambling provider, Two Way Limited, received regulatory approval in Queensland to launch a TV wagering service, this week.
The service, branded TAB Active, will be launched in conjunction with TattsBet Limited who operates the TAB wagering business in Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory.
The company states that betting transactions via TAB Active are safe, secure and encrypted and include extensive consumer safeguards such as password and PIN code protection.  The service will only be available to TAB account holders, who must satisfy identification requirements and be over 18.
The regulatory approval is subject to a performance review after a 12 month pilot trial period from the date of first deployment; and Two Way is required to implement the ability for users: to set or change their betting limits; and be able to self-exclude from TattsBet account wagering services.
Two Way, along with its partners TattsBet, Foxtel and Sky Racing expect the service to go live in Queensland within the next month.
